All good things must come to an end — and writing Silicon Valley Outsider over the past three years has really been a good thing.
I’m working on a new thing now. It’s very different. You might not like it.
So, instead of shoehorning you into the new thing, I’ll just archive Silicon Valley Outsider and leave it here for future internet explorers to stumble upon. I’ve taken down the paywall for all of my posts. (If you’re someone who paid for those posts and that makes you mad, I’m happy to give you a refund.)
Over my three years of writing this newsletter, a few of my pieces got shared fairly widely.
I also wrote a cool series that summarized everything that I know about startups, all in one place.
Here are those posts:
The Basics (VC 101, Startups 101)
Finding a Career (How to Found a Silicon Valley Startup, How to Break Into Venture Capital, How to Join a Rocketship Startup, How to Choose)
Crushing Your Job (Getting Shit Done at Startup Speed, Company Building: My Playbook for Startup Ops, How to Play Politics Without Being a Total Loser, How to Fundraise as a First-Time Founder, Who to Know in Silicon Valley)
There are others in the archives, but I’m fine being honest that some of them, especially this one, weren’t my best work.
I hope that this newsletter helped you — and here’s to hoping our paths cross again in the future.
